So that part sticking up in your battery threads … that’s the insert from another cart that got stuck on because some oil leaked out and glued it to the battery … get some isopropyl alcohol and dab it down in there and GENTLY wiggle that prong till it comes out… get more iso down in there when it’s out and clean the area … charge the battery and put your new cart on
